This vintage French copper cocotte has Sunday lunch written all over it. The oval shape, warm copper body, brass handles and domed lid give it that classic French kitchen feeling: slow food, delicious smells and a table everyone wants to stay around.
This cocotte ovale, or oval braising pot, likely dates from the 1930s to 1950s and is consistent with traditional French copper cookware from workshops such as Villedieu and other regional makers. The lid seats neatly into the rim, with brass side handles and a matching brass loop handle on top.
The interior is tin lined, with mottling and darkened areas from decades of real cooking. The exterior copper has a warm, polished glow while still keeping its age. Displayed in the kitchen or brought to the table, it brings instant French country warmth.

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery in line with EU consumer law. Buyer covers return shipping and items must be returned in original condition. Refunds include the item price and original standard shipping.
