How We Ship
Delivery from Provence, Handled with Care
Bringing antique pieces from Provence to your home should feel simple, clear, and reassuring.
Each order from The Provence Collection is prepared with care, packed according to the nature of the object, and shipped with attention at every stage. From departure to final delivery, the process is managed so that your order arrives safely and with as little complication as possible.
Shipping to the United States
All-in pricing for U.S. deliveries.
For deliveries to the United States, prices are intended to include shipping, customs clearance, import duties, and applicable tariffs, so there are no expected additional charges upon delivery.
This includes:
- Transport from France to the delivery address
- Customs clearance
- Import duties and applicable tariffs
For certain high-value shipments, U.S. Customs or the carrier may require additional recipient information or an identity form. This is completed directly by the recipient and may be requested electronically by the carrier. Delays resulting from non-completion may affect delivery timing.
International Deliveries
We ship internationally from Provence, France.
For deliveries within the European Union, prices include VAT where applicable. Shipments within the European Union are handled through the European delivery network without additional import duties.
For destinations outside the United States and European Union, additional import duties, VAT, taxes, brokerage fees, customs charges, or local fees may apply depending on the destination country.
These charges are determined by local authorities and remain the responsibility of the client unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout or in writing.
For more detailed information, please refer to our Shipping Policy.
A Clear Process
Each shipment is prepared with documentation appropriate to the object, destination, and carrier requirements.
When customs documentation is required, we prepare the necessary commercial and shipping information in advance so that delivery can proceed as smoothly as possible.
Clients are never required to collect items from a port, airport, or customs facility. Deliveries are made to the address provided at checkout.
Packaging with Intention
Antique objects require thoughtful preparation.
Each piece is packed using reinforced materials and internal support designed to prevent movement during transit. Packaging is adapted to the material, structure, weight, and fragility of the object, whether ceramic, glass, copper, metalware, pottery, or decorative antique.
Smaller items are securely wrapped and placed in reinforced cartons, often with double boxing when appropriate. Larger, heavier, or more delicate pieces may be packed with additional reinforcement or custom crating when necessary.
Packaging is designed to protect the object while respecting its age, structure, material, and character.
Delivery Timing
Each piece is carefully prepared before shipment. Orders are typically prepared within 2 to 4 business days after payment confirmation, unless otherwise stated on the product page or communicated directly.
Preparation time may vary depending on the size, material, weight, and packing requirements of the piece.
Once dispatched, estimated delivery timelines are generally:
- United States: 5 to 10 business days from dispatch
- Canada: 7 to 12 business days from dispatch
- Europe: 3 to 7 business days from dispatch
- Other international destinations: 7 to 14 business days from dispatch
Delivery times are estimates only. Delays may occur due to customs inspections, carrier delays, strikes, weather, incorrect delivery information, import procedures, or force majeure events.
You will receive tracking information once your shipment has been dispatched.
For more detailed delivery information, please refer to our Shipping & Delivery FAQ.
Tracking and Delivery
Every shipment includes a tracking number provided after dispatch.
Deliveries may require a signature upon receipt. If no recipient is available, the carrier may provide instructions for re-delivery or collection within the carrier’s stated timeframe.
Failure to arrange delivery within the carrier’s timeframe may result in additional fees, return of the shipment, or other delivery complications.
Additional costs caused by missed delivery, incorrect address details, refusal of delivery, or failure to complete required customs information may be the responsibility of the client.
Insurance and Assurance
Shipments are prepared with care and insured according to the method, value, carrier, and destination of the order.
In the unlikely event that an issue occurs during transit, clear documentation and timely communication are essential so that we can assist with the carrier claim and determine the appropriate resolution.
If Something Goes Wrong
If an item arrives with damage beyond normal age-related wear, we will handle the situation with care and clarity.
Please retain all original packaging materials and provide clear photographs of the outer packaging, inner packaging, shipping label, and the damaged item.
Please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery and no later than 5 days after receipt.
For full details on timelines, documentation, and resolution, please refer to our Returns, Damage & Resolution page.
Condition of Antique Objects
All pieces are antique, vintage, or rustic in nature. Signs of age, wear, patina, restoration, surface variation, irregularity, oxidation, crazing, dents, rubbing, old repairs, and other age-related characteristics may be present.
These characteristics are part of the nature and history of antique and vintage objects and are not considered defects when they are visible in the photographs or described in the listing.
