We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order in certain circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Suspected fraud
  • Errors in pricing or availability
  • Payment issues

If an order is canceled after payment has been processed, any payment collected for that canceled order will be refunded.

4. Products and Descriptions

The Provence Collection specializes in antique and vintage objects sourced in France.

Each item is unique and sold in its current antique or vintage condition. Signs of age, wear, patina, restoration, surface variation, irregularity, oxidation, crazing, dents, rubbing, old repairs, and other age-related characteristics may be present and are part of the nature and history of these pieces.

These characteristics are not considered defects when they are visible in the photographs or described in the listing.

We make every effort to present each piece accurately through photographs, measurements, condition notes, and written descriptions. However, slight variations in color, texture, scale, or detail may occur depending on screen settings, lighting, photography, and the handmade or aged nature of the object.

Customers are encouraged to review all photographs, descriptions, dimensions, and condition notes carefully before placing an order. If you have questions about a piece before purchase, please contact us.

5. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in Euros (€) and may also be presented in other currencies depending on your location, browser settings, or selected preferences.

Where a currency conversion is shown, it is provided for convenience. The final transaction amount may vary slightly due to exchange rates, payment provider fees, or the currency used by your card issuer or payment provider.

For deliveries to the United States, prices are intended to include shipping, customs clearance, import duties, and applicable tariffs, so there are no expected additional charges upon delivery.

For destinations outside the United States, additional import duties, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees, or local fees may apply depending on the destination country. These charges, where applicable, are the responsibility of the client unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout or in writing.

Accepted payment methods may include Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal, and other payment methods displayed at checkout. All transactions are processed securely through the payment providers available on the website.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Each order is prepared with care before shipment. Orders are typically prepared within 2 to 4 business days after payment confirmation, unless otherwise stated on the product page or communicated directly.

Delivery timelines vary depending on the destination, carrier, customs procedures, and other factors beyond our control.

While we aim to meet estimated delivery windows, delays may occur due to customs inspections, carrier delays, strikes, weather, incorrect delivery information, import procedures, or force majeure events.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout. We are not responsible for delays, failed delivery, or additional costs resulting from incomplete or incorrect shipping details provided by the client.

For full shipping details, please refer to our Shipping Policy.

7. Returns and Withdrawal Rights

For consumer purchases made at a distance, and where applicable under French and European consumer law, clients may have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of taking possession of the goods, without needing to provide a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within the applicable 14-day period. Once you have informed us of your decision to withdraw, the item must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after communicating your decision to withdraw.

Returned items must be in their original condition: unaltered, unused, undamaged, and with any original labels, tags, or documentation included.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, return shipping costs, return insurance, customs duties, taxes, import charges, and return transit risks are the responsibility of the client.

Due to the nature of antique and vintage items, age-related wear, patina, marks, surface variation, old repairs, and irregularities are not considered defects when they are visible in the photographs or described in the listing.

For full details, please refer to our Returns, Damage & Resolution page.

8. Damages in Transit

Every piece is packed with care for international transport. In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please contact us promptly so we can assist with the carrier claim and determine the appropriate resolution.

If damage is discovered, please retain all packaging materials and provide clear photographs of the outer packaging, inner packaging, shipping label, and the damaged item.

For full details, please refer to our Returns, Damage & Resolution page.

Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms & Conditions are governed by French law.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of France, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

In the event of a dispute, clients are encouraged to contact The Provence Collection first so that we may attempt to resolve the matter amicably.

Where applicable under French consumer law, after first contacting The Provence Collection in writing and if no satisfactory response is received, a consumer client may refer the matter free of charge to our appointed consumer mediator: CM2C, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France.
