This French copper sauté pan has the look of a piece that belonged in a serious kitchen. The broad hammered body, darkened tin interior and long forged iron handle give it weight, presence and the kind of authority that only old working copper can carry.
Likely dating from the mid to late 19th century, this antique French sautoir was made with a hand-hammered copper body and a wrought iron handle fixed through a reinforced copper plate with three domed rivets. A partially legible Paris coppersmith’s stamp remains on the wall, along with old ownership initials, the sort of details that make a piece feel personal rather than anonymous.
The interior retains its old tin lining, or étamage, now darkened and worn from long use.
Hung from a kitchen rail, set near old cutting boards or displayed with other French copper cookware, it brings warmth, depth and real culinary history into the room. It is the kind of piece that makes a kitchen feel layered, warm and lived in.

Are returns or exchanges accepted?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery in line with EU consumer law. Buyer covers return shipping and items must be returned in original condition. Refunds include the item price and original standard shipping.
