This French primitive cutting board has the kind of age that isn't seen very often anymore. The square body, straight integral handle and timeworn surface feel wonderful...like a piece that came from a kitchen from long ago.
Known in French as a planche à découper ancienne, this antique French cutting board dates to the 18th century and was hand hewn from a single plank of wood. You can still see old tool texture across the working face, while the grip has been worn smooth by generations of hands.
The board carries a natural age split from the handle, softened edges, dark flecking, knife marks and the dry, fibrous character of very old wood. Displayed with French copper, pottery, linen or other antique cutting boards, it brings the rare feeling of something genuinely inherited. It is a simple object, but the age, surface and primitive shape make it feel quietly distinguished.

Are returns or exchanges accepted?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery in line with EU consumer law. Buyer covers return shipping and items must be returned in original condition. Refunds include the item price and original standard shipping.
