This French live edge cutting board is truly unique. The natural bark edge is something that isn't often seen with antique French bread or cutting boards. This one has a rounded handle and honeyed working surface give it a slightly more rustic character than the cleaner rectangular boards.
Known in French as a planche à découper ancienne, this antique cutting board likely dates from the late 19th century. It was hand cut from a single thick plank, with an integral rounded handle and no hanging hole.
The surface carries deep crosshatched knife marks, softened corners, darker wear and the mellow patina that only years of kitchen use can create. Display with other antique French cutting boards, use for an apero or just place it on the counter as a conversation piece. The bark edge makes this one feel especially unique and rare.

Are returns or exchanges accepted?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery in line with EU consumer law. Buyer covers return shipping and items must be returned in original condition. Refunds include the item price and original standard shipping.
