This set of five Coryse-Salomé parfumerie bottles are a simply incredible grouping. Found together in the South of France, each bottle still bears its original printed label for the Paris house of Coryse-Salomé, 8 Place de l’Opéra. Together, they read like a small surviving moment from a French perfume counter, when fragrance and cologne were poured by hand from larger stock bottles into a client’s own flacon. Likely dating to the 1930s, they offer both strong visual appeal and real Parisian provenance.
The labels include Alcoolat de Lavande, Eau de Cologne, Eau de Cologne Opéra, and Eau de Lavande in two strengths, 70° and 80°. Each bottle is made of clear mould-blown glass with a softly smoky cast, a cylindrical body, gently rounded shoulder, short neck, and rolled lip. All five retain their original ground glass stoppers, which are a pleasure to find. The proportions are elegant and practical, exactly what you would expect from antique French parfumerie display bottles made for daily use in a working shop.
Lined up on a bathroom shelf, a dressing table, or in a cabinet of apothecary glass... they bring a refined French atmosphere without needing much around them.
