This small antique French tian has the relaxed beauty of a piece that spent its life in a real southern kitchen. The green exterior, warm yellow interior and low rounded shape make it feel generous, practical and beautiful. It just works in any decor when filled with lemons, pears or whatever is fresh on the counter.
A tian is a traditional Provençal bowl used for kitchen prep, serving and everyday cooking. This example likely dates from the 19th century and was wheel thrown in terracotta, with visible handwork beneath the glaze and a raised foot that gives the bowl a lovely lifted shape.
The interior shows dark mineral marks from long use, and there is an old stable crack visible inside and out, settled into the patina over time. Displayed on a table, shelf or kitchen counter... it brings color, age and that unmistakable feeling of pottery that has lived a long useful life.

Orders to these destinations are handled with extra care and shipped with trusted carriers to ensure safe and timely delivery.

Are returns or exchanges accepted?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery in line with EU consumer law. Buyer covers return shipping and items must be returned in original condition. Refunds include the item price and original standard shipping.
