Antique French Pot a Confiture | Creil et Montereau | Brown Glaze
This little French confiture pot has more presence than its size suggests. The brown glaze moves from deep amber to warm caramel, with enough variation and age to make it feel amazing in any kitchen. It is exactly the kind of small kitchen piece that finds a place in the heart right away.
This pot à confiture, or preserve jar, was made by Creil et Montereau and carries the Déposée mark on the base. The terre de fer body shows through in places where the glaze has thinned, giving the piece even more character. Brown glazed examples are harder to find than the more common cream or white versions.
Originally made for jam or preserves, it would be wonderful today for wooden spoons, short flowers or small kitchen odds and ends. The crazing, glaze drips and warm surface wear give it the quiet charm of something that has lived in French kitchens for generations.

Are returns or exchanges accepted?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery in line with EU consumer law. Buyer covers return shipping and items must be returned in original condition. Refunds include the item price and original standard shipping.
