This antique French stoneware creamer has the kind of simple country form that always feels right at home in a kitchen. Likely dating around the early 20th century, the little pot carries a warm mustard glaze, a generous pouring spout, and its original fitted lid... that lid likes to move around a bit, but it is to be expected with this style of country pottery made to be used every day.
The body was wheel thrown in grès (stoneware), with soft turning rings still visible beneath the glaze and a sturdy balanced shape that feels good in the hand. The mustard glaze deepens naturally around the handle, rim, and shoulder. The domed lid has small edge chips on the underside that simply show the life this piece has lived.
This is the kind of little French pot that is more that just a milk pot. It also works for cream, sauces, sea salt by the stove, or as a nightstand water pitcher. Understated, useful, and full of the warmth that old country pottery carries so effortlessly.

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery in line with EU consumer law. Buyer covers return shipping and items must be returned in original condition. Refunds include the item price and original standard shipping.
