This antique French poêlon is a classic Provençal cooking pan, glazed inside in a warm tobacco brown over a natural terracotta body. Stamped Made in France to the underside, likely produced in the mid to late 20th century, consistent with French commercial pottery of that period.
The shape is what makes this antique French glazed terracotta pan so useful. A shallow rounded body, a small pouring spout, and a hollow tubular handle made to receive a wooden stick so the cook could pull it from the fire without burning a hand. The brown glaze runs from the rim down the upper exterior, then stops in a clean line above an unglazed terracotta band at the base. A look that has not changed in a hundred years.

Are returns or exchanges accepted?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery in line with EU consumer law. Buyer covers return shipping and items must be returned in original condition. Refunds include the item price and original standard shipping.
